Story
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page for the Technology Strategy Three Peaks Challenge. Growing up in Austria I love mountains, and wherever I go I usually seek to climb the tallest peak (as long as I don't run out of oxygen). Even though I have lived in the UK for 5 years now, I still haven't gotten around to checking out the 3 highest peaks of my new home. Now finally the time has come. Together with a group of friends and co-workers I get a change to not only complete this challenge but also use it as an opportunity to raise some funds for a very good cause.
This June, 36 of us will be attempting to climb three of the highest peaks in the UK in under 24 hours (Ben Nevis 1,344mtrs, Scafell Pike 964mtrs and Snowdonia 1,085mtrs) to raise money for one great cause... Save the Children.
Our goal is to summit and descend all 3 peaks as quickly as possible. The climb will start at Ben Nevis (Fort William, Scotland) on 30th June 2016. We will then drive overnight to start climbing Scaffel Pike (Cumbria, England) in the early hours of the morning of Friday 1st July, before travelling to North Wales and the final peak - Snowdon (North Wales)!
Save the Children is a fantastic charity which promotes children's rights, provides relief and helps support children in developing countries. It was established in 1919 in order to improve the lives of children through better education, health care, and economic opportunities, as well as providing emergency aid in natural disasters, war and other conflicts.
