If you can't join me on March 5 to walk 3.8km, please consider a small donation to Myeloma Australia instead.
I was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma in February 2021. After being resistant to my first line of treatment, I found myself waiting for my disease to get worse so I could qualify to get on the CARTITUDE4 trial at RPA in Sydney. In what can only be described as miraculous, I was not only accepted onto the trial, but I was then randomised to the CAR-T arm of the trial. I received life saving CAR-T cell therapy at the end of September 2021 and 4 weeks later, my bone marrow biopsy showed I had gone from having 70% cancerous plasma cells down to ZERO... That was 17 months ago and I am still cancer free. Myeloma Australia have been a great resource and support for me, and whilst I live cancer free now, I want to raise money to help find a cure for this cancer. For all those warriors out there living with this horrible disease, this is for you...xx
