Cycling was a little saviour over lockdown for me and I grew to love it, trapped on my own in my apartment riding opened up the country for me and as a result I became happier and healthier.  

Afternoon rides around London grew to day rides into the Surrey Hills or up into Epping, followed by weekends in the Peak District and the Yorkshire Dales, then a week in the Lake District.

But how far could I really travel on just a road bike?

Friends in Nottingham put forward a challenge, can I ride the length of the UK?

I will be joining 7 friends  for 10 days to ride over 1000 miles, cycling from John O'Groats to Lands End this summer to raise money for 2 fantastic charities: Breast Cancer Now and the Stroke Association.
