Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

We are cycling from John O'Groats to Land's End in aid of The Little Lives Appeal which will help fund refurbishment plans and expansion for the Neonatal Unit at Milton Keynes General Hospital.

More than 350 premature and sick babies are treated in the Neonatal Unit every year.  But with increasing demand for services and an increasing population, they need an additional four high-dependency cots as well as extra space to accommodate them.

Jason, one of the riders, was admitted to the Neonatal Unit after birth and feels he would like to give something back to the Unit and the Nursing staff who took care of him during his first days of life.

We have set ourselves a target of completing the (approximately) 870 mile journey in 8 days, requiring an average of 109 miles a day. The cycle will be completed between the 1st-8th April, 2012. With your generositty and kindness, we hope to reach the target of £2000 which will bring the Unit one step closer to their goal of helping more new born babies.
