Story
In June 2012 there will be a sponsored bike ride from John O’Groats to Land’s End by Ian Gain and Richard Postill (photos and brief biogs to come soon on the Blokes page).
Completing this 900 miles on bikes is no mean feat in itself and by starting in Scotland, and thereby doing the eponymous JOGLE instead of a LEJOG, they will be cycling against the prevailing winds. As if that wasn’t enough of a challenge, Ian will be building his own bike, and he and Richard heroically, or maybe foolishly, have decided to make this an audax – a time trial – and will attempt to complete the route in only 110 hours (the total of their age in years). This means they will need to keep going through the night and in all weathers, making it a gruelling non-stop slog with only a few rest breaks in the back of the support van.
