Story
My mother suffered eleven years with dementia. It robbed her of her personality, intelligence, understanding and, though she was 87 years old, she became someone I didn't know, though she knew me to the end; the only consolation I have left. If my mother could know of my intention with this event, she'd have cheered me on and been so pleased to listen to stories of my exploits. I've lost my best friend and one of my staunchest counsellors. This event is in her memory.
And whilst the Covid pandemic forced me to wait another year, I'm going for the challenge in 2021.
