Story
We're #JogForJugs, a new campaign to encourage everyone to check themselves so that breast cancer can be caught and treated early, and to raise money for the amazing folk at CoppaFeel! 🏃♀️ 4️⃣ 🍉
The worrying fact is that 1 in 8 women will develop breast cancer in their lifetime. So, we're asking you to jog 8km (or walk, run, swim - whatever you like), donate £8 here to CoppaFeel!, nominate 8 friends to do the same, and - of course - check yourself.
We want everyone to spread the word by posting a 'check yourself' selfie once you've completed your 8km, and sharing the message far and wide on social media by tagging your 8 nominated friends.
Our founder Becky Chapple was inspired by the fortunate early detection of her mum's breast cancer last year, and wants to give everyone the same chance to find and beat cancer early. Throughout the pandemic, fewer and fewer people have been visiting the doctor when they find concerning changes to their boobs or pecs which is a real and worrying problem. Jog for Jugs is our small way of first and foremost encouraging everyone to check themselves, then jogging or walking 8km to raise vital funds for CoppaFeel!, a brilliant charity which raises awareness of breast cancer in young people and the importance of early detection.
We've asked some familiar Scottish faces to help us out with our incredible campaign video, and are so grateful to Lorraine Kelly, Emma-Louise Connolly, Joanna Vanderham and Lee McKenzie for their kind support!
A huge thank you to everyone who donates 🧡💜
Love, the Jog for Jugs team x
