Story
As some of you know, every few years I like to do something/an event for charity and raise some money for a great cause.
During the first lockdown of 2020 I set out to plan my biggest challenge yet.... a bucket-list kind of thing. So, I put it a few people and I was surprised to get several guys completely on-board.
We now had a squad. Me, Kempy, Rob, James and Alan.
We got out heads together and toyed with a few ideas but the trek to EBC was top on the agenda, every time.
So, we started planning for the challenge, and trip of a lifetime.
From Kathmandu we will get a small plane with Summit Air, to Lukla (said to be the most dangerous airport in the world 😬). From there we will be on-foot, trekking 170km over the next 12 days through the Himalayan Mountains. Reaching an altitude of over 5,500m.
The trip has been completely paid for so any donations go straight to this wonderful charity:
At Children with Cancer UK we actively raise and invest money for vital specialist research to save the lives of every child with cancer and keep their family together. Our vision is a world where every child diagnosed with cancer gets to ring their end of cancer treatment bell.
