Story

We are raising money For a new CT Scanner in Cheltenham & Gloucester Hospitals in memory of Joe Goodwin.

Joe battled with Cancer and we want to help others in memory of him. Sadly now 1 in 2 people will be effected by cancer, so you will know someone who will need this machine.

Our CT Scanner Appeal: Cheltenham and Gloucester Hospitals Charity need your help to raise £600,000 to buy a new state-of-the-art CT Gamma Scanner. This new technology could help more than 4,000 patients every year in the county. This high-tech equipment allows patients to have two specialist scans at the same time; an external CT scan and a gamma scan from within the body, diagnosing conditions such as cancer which otherwise cannot be found. The combination of CT and a gamma scan gives an incredible detail of picture quality, which can be used in a number of situations and benefits every age group - from seriously ill children to people with conditions such as Parkinson's disease, sports injuries to identifying cancer.
