Intro to Amantani's work

In Ccorca (Peru) children as young as 7 years old start walking up to 8 hours a day just to get to school!

Amantani’s educational Boarding Houses accommodate 66 Quechua children who used to face this daily walk. We provide them with a bed, a balanced diet, psychological support and a safe environment where they have access to the education they so need.

What does your fundraising mean?

We are trying to raise a minimum of £200 per person. If we are able to raise £196, this is enough to provide food for a whole year for one of the children in the Boarding Houses. With 67% of children from this area suffering from malnutrition this is a major part of our work. Living at an altitude of 3,600m the diet needs to be rich in iron and includes all the necessary nutrients allowing the children to grow up healthily and reach their full learning potential!
