Story
Every year we like to have a challenge and in the name of good causes ... I've wanted to do the 100 for a couple of years now, and never successfully got a place.
This year, both Billy and I will be riding 136 miles (yes, 136 miles and there is an extra 36 miles getting to the start and returning from the finish) for sendacow.org
Why sendacow.org? good question, the last few years I have raised money for Prostate Cancer uk, McMillian Cancer Support, and the British Heart Foundation, which are all excellent charities. This year we wanted to help raise money for another cause, something with a huge immediate impact, and to help people help themselves. We are all extremely privileged to live in the UK (and the US for my American friends) and we should look after our neighbors!
sendacow has been working with some of Africa’s poorest families for 30 years this year, helping over 2 million people work their way out of extreme poverty. They provide livestock, tools, seeds and training as part of a programme giving people the hope and means to establish a future for themselves and their families.
Every penny helps, no matter how much the donation i really, really appreciate your support, and will certainly help on the long trek.
Many thanks!
Joel & Billy
