Meningitis Research Foundation's vision is to rid the world from meningitis and speticaemia.

What's that you ask?

Meningitis and septicaemia are very dangerous diseases and can kill in hours.

Meningitis means swelling of the lining around the brain and spinal cord. Septicaemia is blood poisoning caused by the same germs. They can occur together or separately.

3,500 people are affected in the UK and Ireland every year. Sadly, one in ten will die and many others will be left with after effects which could be as severe as brain damage, deafness and amputations.

Now, here's the fun part

By supporting my run, you can donate any amount you like and this will go directly to funding research with the potential to prevent meningitis and septicaemia. And at the same time, this will raise awareness of these dangerous diseases. 

This is my first ever 10km run and I've got roughly a month left to train and prepare for the run so I need all the support that I can get.
