Story
Parkinson’s UK aims to improve the lives of those who’ve been diagnosed and also work to find a cure. The disease has been a major impact in some of our lives and we would like to give as much as we can. On the 3rd April myself (Joe Hart), Jack Morgan, Jack Howland and Ruari Jones will be completing the walk.. Even the smallest donations will make a difference! Thank you.
On the 3rd of April, the four of us will be walking 50km around Cambridge to raise money for Parkinson's UK. The route will incorporate the 31 colleges of the University of Cambridge which will last about 10km. For the remainder of the walk we will follow the River Cam until it meets the River Ouse south of Little Thetford, near Ely. The walk will last around 12 hours and we will begin in the early hours of Saturday 3rd April.
Out of the four of us, both Jack's have experiences with Parkinson's in their family. Jack H's Grandfather sadly died with Parkinson's in 2015, after a long battle with the disease. Jack M's Grandmother was diagnosed with Parkinson's in 2016, and whilst it is progressively getting worse, she is fighting hard against the neurological disorder.
