Event: Abseiling off a church tower for Young Carers, on 18 September 2021
On Saturday the 18th of September (12.45-2pm) a brave group of volunteers will be abseiling off a church tower in the centre of Oxford to raise awareness and funds for Young Carers. Go Emma, Sam, Joe, Tom, Suzanne, Katie and Lizzy at the last minute!

Story

Carers are those people who care for a family member or friend who is ill, frail, disabled, or has mental health or addiction problems. Carers can be of any age group, even the very young. The lockdowns have been really difficult, with many Young Carers spending more time caring than ever before, putting others needs before their own. I am abseiling off a church tower to raise awareness and funds for Young Carers.

About the charity

In life many of us will care for a family member or friend for extended periods of time. These can be stressful and difficult times. Crossroads supports people in Oxfordshire and West Berkshire to perform this role. We help with support groups, training, respite care and even give people holidays.
