Hello and thank you a million times over for taking the time to look at my JustGiving page!

My name's Joe Grant, I'm from Portsmouth, and I'm a student studying Medicine at Southampton University.

Those who know me will know that I am not, by any stretch of imagination, the fittest person they know. However, in October, I will be taking part in The Great South Run. It is a 10-mile run around the streets of Southsea in Portsmouth. As a person who, until recently, could not run 50 metres without getting out of breath, this is a pretty big challenge for me!

I will be raising money for The Rowans Hospice, a charity that provides care and comfort for people with life-limiting illnesses. This is a charity that is very close to my heart because, 5 years ago, my Dad passed away after a battle with cancer. The hospice took very good care of him, myself, and our family, over his passing, and I'd like to give something back to them.
