Story
We are a team from Dignity funerals in Birmingham, representing our funeral homes A.Hazel & Sons, Dyson Richards, Roberts and Brain, E.F Edwards, G.Gibbs, W.H.Scotts and Asian Funeral Directors. Taking on a charity walk up Mount Snowdon to raise money and awareness for Samaritans and the vital support they provide to people struggling with their mental health.
As funeral directors, we see first-hand the impact mental health struggles and suicide can have on individuals, families, and communities.
We know how important it is for people to have somewhere to turn during difficult times, and we want to help raise awareness so that no one should suffer in silence.
To make the challenge more meaningful, we will be completing the walk carrying weighted packs to represent the invisible weight mental health can place on people every day. We hope this helps encourage more open conversations around mental health.
We are fundraising for Samaritans because their volunteers provide life-saving support 24/7 for anyone who needs someone to listen without judgement.
This challenge is about more than reaching the summit — it’s about raising awareness, encouraging conversations, and showing support for anyone who may be struggling.
With your help we can make a difference!
