We help people with ME/CFS to understand and survive their illness

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

For those who don't know, chronic fatigue syndrome or ME is an illness that affects over 250,000 people across the UK.

Symptoms include but are not limited to; sleep problems, muscle/joint pain, problems remembering or concentrating, feeling dizzy or sick and even heart palpitations.

People who have either had family or close friends that have been diagnosed with this illness are very aware of both how much it can affect someone's life and how much of an eye opener it is to realize that not all physical conditions are visible.

My mum has been living with ME for 21 years now and although she tries not to let it take over her life it's still something she struggles with everyday.

The ME Association supports people through all stages of the illness, inform the public on how the illness effects the lives of those who suffer from it and also invests a lot of their funding into biomedical research to find better treatment.

I will be walking for 24 hours straight from midnight to midnight on February the 10th in an effort to raise money and awareness towards The ME Association.

Any donation no matter how big or small is very much appreciated.

Thank you in advance to anyone who decides to donate, me and my family are extremely grateful.

The ME Association campaigns hard to get ME recognised as a severe neurological illness. Our helpline provides essential information and support to adults and children who have ME/CFS, and to their families and carers. We also fund biomedical research into the physical nature and causes of ME/CFS.
