Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
My lovely niece Jenny, who was a Research Fellow at Queens University where she carried out ground breaking research into breast cancer, sadly passed away on 20 May 2013 as a result of the illness of depression. Myself and my good friend Pat Power who has been my cycling companion for the past year decided we should turn our efforts at staying fit into something which would commemorate Jenny's life and raise some money for Aware Defeat Depression in the hope that it would help prevent another family going through what ours and too many others have suffered because of the death of a loved one. Pat has a sister who lives in Duncannon in Wexford so that was chosen as the destination. I thought it's a pity she doesn't live in Newry but we decided to give it a go anyway - all 220 miles of it, so we're making "Tracks for Wex" over 3 days beginning on 27 August and are hoping our friends will sponsor us through the JustGiving donation arrangement, or by handing over cash through sponsorship forms. Either way every penny received will go to the charity as all expenses are being met by ourselves.
