Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Luckily for me I don't have a "story" as such I have created this page because I realised that I could use something that I have, somewhat foolishly, agreed to do to benefit others less fortunate than myself.

It all started when I was planning a nice little holiday to China to visit my brother, Tom and he suggested that as my trip would coincide with The Great Wall of China Half Marathon we should both enter. I jumped at this chance thinking what a great experience it would be. It was only after entries were submitted and flights were booked that I actually bothered to see what I have signed up for.

If you want to have a slight chuckle at my expense have a look at the photos on this page, I wish I had seen these before agreeing to what I thought would be a nice relaxing run at the start of my holiday! It is a little steeper in parts than I was expecting.

I wanted to use this challenge as an opportunity to raise some cash for a worthwhile organisation. My family have been involved with a charity called Nelson's Journey who do loads of great work helping kids who have lost a significant person in their life whether than be a parent or a sibling. They do lots of really cool things and need as much support as possible.

I appreciate that there are always lots of requests for donations going around so I understand if you can't donate but if you can then that would be ace!
