Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my Just-Giving page in memory of our daughter Lianne.
We lost our daughter Lianne on 12th January 2005 just a day after she was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leaukamia.
Since then we have collected nearly £20,000 with friends and family competing in 15 consecutive Manchester 10k runs up to 2019.
In 2020 and 2021 the event was cancelled due to COVID but I walked 10 miles around Ribble Valley in a tiller dress and then in 2021 walked up and down Pendle Hill twice on her birthday dressed as Deadpool and collected more funds for Blood Cancer UK.
This year is my biggest challenge.
I have decided to walk up and down Pendle Hill 22 times the 1st January 2022 to 22 May 2022 (22 weeks) - see my progress throughout the 22 Pendle Hill climbs on my facebook page.
This is the equivalent of 3 times Everest and I know I am building it up a little ;-)
After doing this I aim to finish the challenge by running or walking the Manchester 10k on the 22nd May; which would have been Lianne's 31st birthday.
I have to say my knee has not been very kind so forgive me if my time on 22nd May is well below acceptable but I will cross the finish line no matter what.
The anniversary of the Manchester Arena bombing is also on Lianne's birthday and the day of the run so we shall not forget 22 people lost their lives so thoughts will also be with their families.
I have not yet bought the fancy dress costume for the 10k but I am open to offers if you are prepared to sponsor me more, add your thoughts to the comments section when you sponsor - nothing is off the table.
Finally, I would like to thank everyone that supported me and the family with your sponsorship and kindness over the last 17 years.
