Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Along with eight other walkers from my home village of Cawood in North Yorkshire, I am attempting the National Three Peaks Challenge on 4-5 June of this year.  The challenge involves climbing up and down and driving between the highest mountains of England, Scotland and Wales within 24 hours.  The three mountains are Ben Nevis (4,409 feet), Scafell Pike (3,209 feet) and Snowdon (3,560 feet) and in total the challenge represents 26 miles of ascent and descent and 475 miles of driving.

All monies donated will go to Parkinson's UK and, ultimately, to research into Parkinson's disease and day-to-day support and care for sufferers.  This is a cause close to my heart as both my father and an uncle by marriage have lived with this disease for nearly 20 years.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.  No donation is too small.

Anyone can get Parkinson’s. It gets worse over time and there’s no cure. Yet. Funding research into the most promising treatments, we’re getting closer to a cure. Until then, we're improving life for people with Parkinson’s, and the people in their lives. Together we'll find a cure.
