Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I am taking part in a 24 hour cycle to raise funding to go towards a new sports pavilion for the club and its community.
When the text came through showing the remaining time slots I put myself down for 1am - 3am. Almost immediately after putting my name down it dawned on me how much I'd regret it.
To ease the pain I decided I'd sign my old man up for the bike next-door. I was sure he'd be up for it. 😏 (Luckily for me he was). We've got a rough target of 50miles between us and he's assured me he's gonna do the majority of those.
I've been involved with Broughton youth football for nearly 8 years. Coaching various teams within the club. We currently are home to nearly 150 children boys and girls. We also have two mens teams and youth and men's cricket teams. We have players from not only our village but many of the surrounding villages and are continually looking to grow this to get more children involved in sport. Sport has been a massive part of my life and brought many memories that I cherish. Sport brings people together and helps build friendships and community. Some of the best memories are made before and after games in places like clubhouses.
It is important that we raise the money to build a new clubhouse as at the moment there are no disabled toilets or changing, in fact there is no ramp for wheelchairs to get into the building at all. There are no changing rooms for girls/women and the building is need of numerous repairs.
Any donations would be greatly appreciated 🙂
