Story

Just over 3 years ago I was asked by a couple of colleagues to run the Birmingham Half marathon, my first ever running race and as a slightly bigger chap at the time something I would've never contemplated doing. However I did it albeit very slowly but there was something that sparked a desire that day, a desire to want to do more to get faster and fitter and be the best I can be. Three years on, fitter, faster and healthier and having completed over 50 10km races, numerous half marathons and my first marathon in Milan last year, I am taking on my biggest challenge to date. I will be taking on two marathons in a month, in Paris and London. This is a challenge that will test me physically and mentally and one that will really push me out of my comfort zone. I am delighted to be running for the Ronald McDonald House charity, a charity very close to my heart and doing some amazing things. Having seen the work first hand that the Ronald McDonald house provide, to be able to give a real home away from away home so that families can have a 'normal' schedule - eating, resting and playing together is just incredible. The money raised from this challenge will go towards funding for more rooms, more facilities and help for these families to enable them to have the best environment to live in. This is a huge challenge and one I cant wait to share the journey with you all on.
