Story

Hi, I'm Joe.  I was born in 2005 and because I was premature (born almost 3 months too early), I had a bleed on the brain.  This caused a condition called Hydrocephalus, so I was taken to Great Ormond St Hospital.  I was pretty sick so eventually I had brain surgery when I was just 2 and half months old.  Hydrocephalus is a lifelong condition so I've had to have brain surgery twice more since then, once when I was 4 years old and again when I was 12.

GOSH is more than just a hospital to me.  I know that whenever I need to have surgery, I know its going to be tough while I'm there but they make it as easy as it can be for your stay.  There are games rooms, staff that play board games with you to take your mind off the pain and lots of events for patients that make you feel part of the GOSH community.

Please support me if you can with any donations and share this page, I really appreciate any help so I can raise funds for the hospital that saved my life.

Check out my gallery for photos of my GOSH story.

Thank you
