Story

Having managed to stagger my way through the 10k in Leeds a while back, I've decided to take things to the next level by signing up for the Nike 'run to the beat' half marathon on 25th September.

I'm running it for Leukaemia and Lymphoma research (www.beatbloodcancers.org.uk) in memory of Amy's dad Henry Hodge who died of Acute Myeloid Leukaemia aged just 65 in June 2009. He was a wonderful man whom we miss terribly.

Acute Myeloid Leukaemia causes, pain, suffering and sheer heartbreak for over 2,000 people who are struck down with this disease and their families every year.

By donating, you are helping researchers who are attempting to ease this suffering.

Also please do come along on the 25th, details here:

http://www.runtothebeat.co.uk.

It starts and ends at the o2 in Greenwich, and apparently I will:

"Get grimey down in Greenwich, Dub step through Docklands, Rock round Royal Artillery Barracks and Hip hop down Ha Ha Road"

...all of which sounds terrific.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

Please dig deep and donate.
