Story
Hi, I'm Joe and this is Ollie. Ollie and I are looking to take on a very long walk from John o' Groats to Lands' end. This is no mean feat as it will be at least 1000 miles! We both work hard and are dedicated to our jobs but, because the world is getting to be a bit of a crazy place, we decided to devote our time to causes we feel strongly about. The aim of this walk is to raise money for charities that mean a lot to us.
I am motivated to help Mind, a charity which supports those suffering from mental health problems because I have seen how severely it can affect us and the people we care about. Ollie will be doing the walk to support Anthony Nolan, a charity which helps match patients in need with stem cell donors, and Smile Train which is the largest organisation supporting those with cleft lips.
I'm sure everyone is feeling the squeeze from the cost-of-living crisis at the moment, we are too. This is why we’re going to hike, camp and trudge the mammoth walk and why I’m asking for us all to come together to donate, even just a little and do our bit to support these charities and everyone they help.
