Story
Hi guys!
Yes, I really am going to trek the Great Wall of China........as many of you will know this is well out of my 'comfort zone'!
I currently provide Communication Support to Deaf Students in Higher Education but have decided to take raising Deaf Awareness a step further by embarking on this trek to raise money for the National Deaf Children's Society (NDCS).
Some facts....
Right now there are 35,000 deaf children in the UK and 3 more are born deaf every day...90% of which are born to hearing parents that have little or no experience of deafness!
£70 raised can help the NDCS fund training sessions that give families the chance to fully communicate with their child!
Please please please support the NDCS and sponsor me to help me achieve my fundraising goal! This will really spur me on to complete the trek when my knees have given up!
