Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my Just Giving page.
working as a teaching assistant at James Rennie special needs school in Carlisle, i noticed that many of our children who attend the school go to Eden Valley Hospice - Jigsaw, for rest bite and to have mini breaks there. Jigsaw provides one to one care for children and young adults with life limiting illnesses as well as extending the care and support to their families. Working closely with children who go to Jigsaw i noticed how much each of them loved going there, and how happy and grateful parents are that they too can have a break from 24/7 care for their children knowing that they are in safe hands and knowing that there child is enjoying every moment of their stay being at the hospice. At the hospice children are able to experience a range of stimulating activities to their needs such as sensory rooms, hydrotherapy pool, play and activity area, computer room and starlight children foundation fun center, these activities create memorable, fun and exciting memories for the children who have life limiting illnesses, and the staff at Jigsaw aim to make every person's visit like this too. It costs over £2,000 every day to provide the specialist care at Jigsaw and they are grateful for any kind of donation or fund raising to help keep this hospice running and staying as good as it is so other children can experience the same visits as others have going there. The ten km walk and pyjama party i am taking part in is too help raise money for the hospice and i would be thankful to anybody who could donate to help me achieve this, if anybody would like to help the details to donate are just below, thanks for reading this.
