Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
In 2003, I lost my dad to cancer. He fought as hard as he could and the Marie Curie team were amazing during his final months. As a family, the loss of our dad, Andy, hit us all hard - he was our rock. Just over 10 years later we were hit with the news that my step-dad had terminal cancer. Stu was an incredible father and grandad to us all. In 2016, he lost his fight with cancer, just 3 months before the birth of Stanley - they never got to meet. Again, the Marie Curie team were involved in the last months of his life and afterwards with family members and as a family we are eternally grateful for the care they showed us.
This is going to be an emotional run for me. Stu completed the GNR several times and I am honoured to be following in his footsteps. I'll have the privilege of running with 3 of my siblings, my husband and my sister-in-law in a place where we have all at one time called 'home'.
Please dig deep for this incredible organisation. I know so many of us have been affected by this awful disease.
