Story
On Sunday 28th May I’ll be taking part in Ride London, aiming to cycle 100 miles through London and Essex. Having only started cycling earlier this year - 4 Months and 21days ago to be exact! – I quickly got all the gear, and still don’t have much of an idea! Throughout training I’ve survived numerous falls, mechanical failures, a London to Brighton training ride and have also picked up some awful tan lines! I will be raising money on behalf of two amazing charities: the British Heart Foundation and Dementia UK, which will also help to give me a little boost on the day. The British Heart Foundation do incredible work around heart and circulatory disease – my dad had open heart surgery at the age of 2 years old, and donating will help to fund their ongoing research, treatments and cures. Dementia Uk is also a charity particularly close to me: everyone has had a relative or knows someone who has been affected by dementia. Dementia UK provides nurses to give quality care to those living with dementia, as well as support to their families. I’ll be cycling on behalf of these charities and would be really grateful if you could donate whatever you can spare to help me to raise some money on their behalf! Fingers Crossed for the big day!
