In November 2008 we did a charity cycle ride for Women for Women . We cycled 390kms in Cuba cycling through allsorts of terrain both on and off road. It was an extremely hard challenge and both of us had to dig very deep ,emotionally and physically to do this cycle ride but with the support  and encouragement from the charity and the enthusiasm of the other Women cycling along side us we did it! There were tears,grazes, heatstroke and lots of laughs along the way. Every morning we were up at 6am ready to cycle at 7.30. It took alot of determination to get out of our beds and face the days cycling that lay ahead. It was a fantastic experience and we are going to do it again!  This time we are cycling in China.It is for the same charity,below on the left, you can read about our chosen charity and why we are raising £6,300.

We feel very passionate about raising this money. We are very lucky,between us we have 6 beautiful,healthy children but we are very aware of all the ladies out there who cannot have their own babies . The money we raise will help scientists and clinicians specialise in the prevention,diagnosis and treatment of a range of devastating conditions,which cause cancer,miscarriage,infertility and genetic diseases such as Haemophilia. I carry this hereditary condition as do my 2 of my 3 daughters. They will need intervention to have healthy babies when they are older and these diagnostic tests will have been developed by these scientists.( This is Jo!)
