Story
As you can see from the photo, I'm very good at carb-loading.. the actual running part is still a bit of a work in progress. However! I ran the 5k Race for Life to raise funds for cancer research last year, and I've been training diligently to progress to the Great North 10k this year for the Alzheimer's Society. Since 10k is a distance I'm now fairly comfortable with, but I'm a bit of a plodder, I'll be aiming to finish in an hour or less.
Next year, barring any major training setbacks, I'll be applying for a charity place in the 2011 Great North Run (which is a half marathon, non local folks!) for Guide Dogs UK.
Thanks for supporting me in my running goals and helping me raise funds for a great charity doing important work that's very close to my OT heart.
