Story
Hello everyone
So on 2 October 2022 I’ll be trying to run the London marathon!!!
I’m doing this for a few reasons but two things are very important to me. London, I love it, I miss it, it’s where our babies were made - running down that mall at the end of 26.2 miles is going to be a BIG BIG moment.
And secondly, but arguable more importantly, I’ll be helping the Cystic Fibrosis Trust. This charity has been very helpful to me over the 20 or so years I’ve known and loved Lee. From simply finding out what CF was initially, to helping us research our fertility issues, learning how Covid was affecting the CF community during the pandemic in real time at a terrifying time, and keeping eyes open for therapies and the fantastic medical strides that have been made recently for people suffering this awful disease.
Their official goal is to support people with cystic fibrosis and their families by:
- funding ground-breaking research
- promoting the highest quality care
- providing information and support when it's needed most
- and fighting for access to life-saving drugs
The future is much brighter for babies born with CF these days, but without all the lobbying and info spreading/sharing and Cystic Fibrosis Trust does this may not be happening.
I know everyone is skint at the moment but it would mean so much to me if you could have one less pint or glass of wine this week and throw the money my way.
I will keep you all updated on my progress through training I’ve got 3 miles in the bag already so only about 23 to go!!
Thanks so much xx
