Story
It was back in 2004 at my sisters wedding that i noticed something wasn't quite right with ma. she seemed more confused and forgetful than usual. she later went to the doctors and was told she had the beginnings of Alzheimer's. she started her medication but as time went by she got worse and worse. Sadly with this disease you can have it for many years and she died in 2013. Alzheimer's is a cruel, painful and frustrating disease not only for the sufferer but for their loved ones too. i will be doing the memory walk for my ma and other families affected by Alzheimer's. every penny counts please donate if you can. still missing you ma xxxx
Thank you for supporting me to take part in Memory Walk this year and raise much needed funds for Alzheimer's Society.
All of the money I raise will help support people living with dementia and their families, so your donation will make a huge difference.
Just £50 will pay for someone with dementia to go to a Dementia Café session every week for a month, where they can meet others, share experiences and feel less isolated. And the more I raise, the bigger the difference it will make.
