We support 2 great causes to help injured RL players and beat cancer!

Story

I first met Steve when he was a kid. Our mums were friends, we lived close by and he went to the same school as my sister and brother. Later on, as an adult (and Saints supporter), I admired his career in rugby league especially at Wembley in 1996 when he gave that superb performance against Bradford (he should have won that Lance Todd!)

So it was heartbreaking to hear of his diagnosis in 2006 but I was taken aback by how he took on all sorts of challenges to raise awareness and funds for this fabulous charity he founded, all while he battled against this terrible illness. An extraordinary inspiration.

So compared to Steve's achievements, surely walking 1,000 miles in 2021 isn't much of a feat. However, that's the plan so I'd be extremely grateful of your support and donations so we can contribute towards Steve's amazing legacy.

Thank you. 😎👍🏻

About the charity

The Steve Prescott Foundation was set up by a totally inspirational man Steve Prescott MBE. In 2006 he was diagnosed with Pseudomyxoma Peritonei a terminal cancer & sought out to raise funds for The Christie Hospital and the Rugby League Benevolent Fund. The SPF changes the lives of so many people.
