Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page for Coeliac UK.
Due to the coronavirus outbreak, Coeliac UK has lost a lot of income because events and challenges have been cancelled. We are a charity, and do not receive any government funding. So I will be walking as many miles as I can (minimum of 6.3 miles a day) to help raise funds and awareness.
I will be walking from Chalfont St Peter to Chalfont St Giles on both mornings of Saturday 19th and Sunday 20th September. Per trip is 5 miles. This may be an easy task to do for some, but this is not the case for me. This is a challenge which I have done a few times and have found this quite tiring so this will be a big push for both days :)
I will also be visiting my lovely parents and using their treadmill in the afternoons!
Coeliac disease is a serious illness where the body’s immune system attacks its own tissues when you eat gluten. This causes damage to the lining of the gut and means the body can’t properly absorb nutrients from food. Coeliac disease is not an allergy or food intolerance.
I really appreciate your donations, they will make a difference :)
