Wessex Cancer Trust is celebrating 40 years of providing free, local support to anyone living with cancer in Hampshire, Dorset and the Isle of Wight. 2021 is a year of celebration and giving thanks, whilst evolving to be here for anyone who needs us.

Story

I’m taking part in 40 days of fitness for Wessex Cancer Trust to support local families affected by cancer. I’ll be taking part in some form of exercise or fitness for 40 consecutive days, to mark 40 years of cancer care! Aiming for at least 40 mins of exercise a day such as waking, running, yoga or online HIT class!

I’ll post updates on my progress on Facebook!

Were thrilled to be launching our 40th birthday celebrations this year. Its a proud milestone for us, as we remember all the people who have been a part of the Wessex Cancer Trust community since 1981, and the difference they have made to the lives of thousands of local people living with cancer. Were so proud of our heritage and achievements throughout the decades. We predict that this year there will be a higher need for the Trusts services due to suspended or delayed cancer screening, routine diagnostic work deferred, and only urgent cancer patients prioritised for treatment during the pandemic. Our 40th Birthday comes at a time when Wessex needs us more than ever and we need your help to support that mission.Join us this year as we build on the past and look to the future.
