Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

10 years ago this month Jane was diagnosed with Breast cancer, and over a  9 month period she underwent surgery, chemotherapy and radiotherapy. Jane made a fabulous recovery and over the past 10 years following Janes retirement from the police force we have travelled extensively, moved house twice, got married, had 4 dogs and generally had the time of our lives.

On March 18 this year we received the devastating news that Janes cancer had returned and she was given a terminal diagnosis. As shocking as this was (and still is), Jane has remained positive throughout, showing strength and resilience that is remarkable and humbling. She is truly amazing.

We have recently been referred to the hospice of the good shepherd in Chester and will continue to be supported by their amazing team as we go forward. We can’t thank them enough for how much they have helped already just knowing they are there and that they care! When we saw this event advertised we knew this was something we could do to help raise money by having fun along the way!!

Thank you for your donations!
