Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

A few years ago I was in one of the worst places anyone could ever be; I couldn’t see the point in carrying on, life and its challenges were just too hard and I didn’t want to do it anymore.  Sadly far too many people don’t make it back from this place - because they’re scared to ask for help, they’re ashamed of feeling so defeated and feel like they’re letting people down.

I was lucky - I found the help and support I needed from a variety of sources which enabled me to face my demons - I joined a running group, I got some counselling and I had the love of support of a good man.  I also had my lovely boy Barney at my side to help me heal - unconditional love and devotion can do a lot to mend a broken soul.  

As I hurtle towards my half-century birthday, I want to give something back - running and a greyhound saved my life, so I’ve set myself a challenge to run 50 x 10k in a little over a year, ending on or around my 50th Birthday on 23 03 23.

I’m raising money for the Greyhound Trust and for MIND; both charities do amazing work supporting dogs and people to live a better life.  Without the Greyhound Trust my Barney would long since have been euthanised.  Without MIND, people like me wouldn’t find their way out of the darkness.  

Please help me reach my target by supporting my challenge - whether its by donating, helping me fundraise or joining me on a run!  All support is welcome and very much appreciated.
