Story
I have been working for BCM for the last 8 years and I have avoided any type of sporting activity because I am theee most unfit person you will ever meet, this year as manager I bowed to peer pressure and decided to be a positive role model for the team! All of us are taking part and we cannot wait to smash it! My goal is.....to finish!
We work with 16-25 year olds across Armagh and Dungannon trust. We offer a housing support service where they can avail of one to one support to find accommodation and then furnish that accommodation. When that's done we look at lots of different areas like mental health, physical health, drugs and alcohol, offending, social networks and try to get them involved in training, education and employment.
we have recently added to our services in Dungannon and Armagh with our parent support service for anyone with a child 0-17 who needs support and housing support for older people 60+.
There is homeless people in your area...some sleep rough, others are 'hidden' homeless meaning they 'sofa surf' at a friends, moving from place to place.
I can tell you any number of devastating stories to make you put your hand in your pocket, I can also tell you happy stories and successful outcomes as a result of the number of people we help. I cannot compete with huge charities raising money for essential research into illness and so on and I wouldn't try to but I am hoping that my friends and family, my fellow facebookers will support me to raise £500 which will make a huge difference to the work we do in your area...BCM "supports those who need it most in our society". HELP ME DO THIS!!!
