Story
I'm sure many of my friends & family are fed up of seeing photos on Facebook of me doing push-ups, burpees, squats and planks against the awesome backdrop of Manly beach.
To compensate for that, I've decided to enter Tough Mudder on 12 October, which will see me traverse ~20km of obstacles, electric shocks, ice baths, fire and mud... lots of mud.
(Hopefully this will make you all very happy!)
The main reason for doing Tough Mudder, however, is to raise vital funds for Cancer Research UK.
My best friend's dad, Clive Winter, passed away in April after being diagnosed with liver cancer only a few months beforehand. I was lucky enough to grow up knowing Clive's generosity, friendship and love for life, and hope this personal challenge is a fitting tribute to the man who made Beyonce's Single Ladies so utterly unforgettable.
So, thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. I appreciate everyone probably receives many requests for sponsorship and charitable donations but even if you can spare £5 / $5 (hmm, the Aussie & US contingents are getting a bargain with that one!), it all goes directly to a very worthwhile charity, and I will be so appreciative of your support.
Oh, and the good news is that your Great British Pounds, Australian and American dollars, and many other currencies, are accepted by JustGiving.com. Hooray!
(Here's the boring but important bit...Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity. So it’s the most efficient way to donate – saving time and cutting costs for the charity.)
