Story
My friends daughter Gemma Leech died of cancer in August 2014, she fought the disease with dignity, strength and grace. I want to raise money for Sue Ryder trust in her memory.
The nurses, and all the staff, work with care, compassion and a deep understanding of the patients and relatives needs. Whether it is a shoulder to cry on, a few kind words, or spending time listening to the persons fears and thoughts about the unforgiving disease, the staff are always on hand.
Cancer is not selective, anyone of us can be affected by the disease, which is why we need to raise money. Charitable trusts rely on our donations to continue their work with patients and relatives, remember when someone dies the pain and confusion does not stop, and this is where the counselling services come in, these are needed so people can move on with their lives, while remembering their loved ones.
I will remember Gemma in a fun loving way, she could be the life and soul of the party, and never complained when things got tough. Her memory will live on forever in our hearts.
