I am taking part in my first ever half marathon - the 2012 Great North Run - to raise funds for Breakthrough Breast Cancer. My running partners are my uncle John Wakeford, his colleague Julia Fearn from Hitchenor Wakeford Executive Search and my cousin Nathan Waggott.

I sadly lost my beautiful wife Joanne to breast cancer in February aged just 41 and this gives me all the motivation I need to fundraise for Breakthrough.

Please help us raise funds for research into, and to help sufferers of, this horrific disease. We have set an ambitious target of £10,000.
