On Nov 3rd I am running 5k in Londons Victoria Park.

Like many people I was blown away by London 2012 this summer and it spurred me on to take up a sport. I decided upon running (mainly because it's free to do!) My first run was dire, I could barely run 30 seconds without having to stop through hyperventilation. But I've kept going and with the help of the c25k programme and the support of my friend Claire Crawford I can now manage several minutes of non stop running (woohooo!)

I know this isnt as spectacular as running a marathon or completing a triathlon, but to me 30mins of running may as well be a marathon or triathlon. I am determined to stick with this running lark, and who knows, in a year or so I will be ready to give the marathon a go!

I have chosen to support Macmillan because I have witnessed what an amazing job they do. They have supported and helped some people who are very special to me and this is my way of saying THANK YOU x
