I knew this year would bring it’s challenges, so I decided to meet it head on. I am running the Liverpool Race for Life 10K on the 7 July, competing in Total Warrior on the 3 August and taking on the very scary Tough Mudder on the 6 October to raise money for Cancer Research.

 

I am running in honour of Dorothy Hill; a devoted wife, loving and supportive mum, fantastic mother-in-law and doting nanny of 9 grandchildren. Dorothy lost her courageous battle to lung cancer on 12 June 2013.

 

My beloved nana was diagnosed with bladder cancer 2 years ago, which ultimately contributed to her death in April 2013.

 

My mum has recently been diagnosed with breast cancer and has started chemotherapy.
