Story
I'm running the 2018 Berlin Marathon for Prostate Cancer UK.
I have had two friends who have developed prostate cancer and in both cases there were no early symptoms. It's difficult enough to get men seeking medical advice when they are feeling unwell. The cruel thing about prostate cancer is that there are often no symptoms until it has progressed quite far. Advanced prostate cancer is incurable. The treatments available aim to keep it at bay for as long as possible.
Prostate Cancer UK is doing essential work to raise awareness about the condition, fund important research and support men (and their families) who have the condition.
Please do sponsor me if you can spare a few pounds. Ignoring prostate cancer won't beat it. Prostate Cancer UK has a simple ambition – to stop men dying from prostate cancer. Through shifting the science over the next 10 years their aim is to stop prostate cancer being a killer.
