Story
Thanks for Visiting Running For Rachel.
I've decided to run the Bupa Great Manchester Run 2014 for one reason and that is Rachel.
A fun, enthuasticatic, beautiful person whom I spent many a day and night working and laughing with at University. Only 24 and full of life.
It wasn't until one day in 2013 I noticed something she had posted about Living with Lymphona. I wasn't entirely sure what this meant so I went on and read her heartbreaking story about the discovery of Hodgkins Lymphoma.
Just graduated with a First Class honors, living a happy life, new job, in a new relationship and her whole world was turned upside down by Cancer.
Now almost a year later and with 6 months chemotherapy under her belt Rachel is in remission and is beginning to take back her life, doing things she hasn't been able to whilst battling with lymphoma, including eating rare steak, eating soft and blue cheese, swimming and also doing a 5k Race for Life!!!!
Cancer ruins lives and Rachel has been able to take back hers. So please support me in my run and donate to this charity so they can help more people like Rachel take back their lives and say NO to Cancer.
One day we will beat Cancer. Help us make it sooner.

Rachel is also doing a race for life herself. If you wish to help her on her journey there is a link to her page below.
