Story

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page!

I have decided to run the Reading Half Marathon in March for Hospiscare. As some of you may know my Grandma, Barbara Pearce, who I was very close to sadly passed away in June 2007 after a short battle with cancer.  Hospiscare in Exeter were brilliant, giving her a very peaceful and relaxing last few weeks in their care. The nurses and doctor were brilliant, and Grandma was very grateful for this outstanding service that they provided for her and our family. Please visit their website for more information.

This will also be a great reason for me to get fit, run off the winter pounds, and go running with my little Jack Russell, Boots (He may even accompany my race?!). Hopefully he will also benefit from the training!

Anything you can spare will be gratefully appreciated; Hospiscare relies on donations to keep their vital and priceless service running. I am sure it will also put a big smile on Grandma's face somewhere up there in the stars !

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Hospiscare gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

So please sponsor me now!
