300,000 steps in March · 31 March 2021

We Are Pangs supports parents struggling with perinatal mental illness such as postnatal depression, anxiety, and more. We raise awareness of these issues and campaign for better services. We run peer support groups for parents and train peer support leaders to work with parents in the community.

Story

I have set out to take 300,000 steps in the month of March in order to raise money for such a great charity. It averages 10,000 steps EACH day. Below is the summary of what We Are Pangs does for families in Northern Ireland.

Our ultimate goal is to ensure that every parent across Northern Ireland can access timely and appropriate care to help them recover from mental illness. We aim to do this through a range of projects including growing a province-wide peer support network, hosting training and education events, campaigning for better services, and providing support to our colleagues who work with parents with mental health issues. We want to create a collaboration with parents at its centre so that as a community we can ensure that no parent is left behind.
