Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our Justgiving page. City University London is entering a team for the British Heart Foundation and Hanna's Orphanage London to Brighton Race on Sunday 16th June 2013. Our team, TEAM CITY is made up of Jo the Captain, Anita, Viola, Olga, Ben, Spence, Neil, Peter, Dilip, and Kieran.

Please donate generously to support this worthy cause.

Hanna’s Orphanage is a small charity set up to help vulnerable children of Ethiopia by supporting the maintenance and expansion of Hanna Orphans Home. We fundraise in the UK for the orphanage, and provide them with toys, books, clothes and sports equipment and anything else they need. We could use some encouragement on the day of the race at 9 a.m. at Clapham Common!

Hanna’s Orphanage was founded on two main principles:

  • We will always be able to tell you what your money has been spent on.
Whatever amount you have donated, we will be able to tell you what they has been spent on and when it was sent to the orphanage.  Just ask.
  • We will respond to what the orphanage needs.
We believe that the orphanages know what is best for them, and so we respond to what they need.  This means that we sometimes refuse donations of clothes or resources because the orphanages don’t need them.
